A Global Innovation Sprint at the Intersection of AI, Sports, and Media

We’re excited to announce that registration is now officially open for the Turboline x IIMS Hackathon 2025! Organized in partnership with IIMS College, Nepal, this 72-hour hybrid hackathon is your chance to reimagine the future of sports and media through the power of AI and machine learning.

🧠 What You’ll Be Building
This hackathon is designed for students, coders, designers, and data scientists eager to tackle real-world problems in sports and media. Participants will work on cutting-edge ideas like:
- AI-powered sports highlight generation
- Player biomechanics and performance analytics
- Real-time broadcast insights using computer vision
- Automated sports commentary via large language models
- Sports journalism automation
- AI-assisted referee and VAR decision systems
🌐 Who Can Join
We welcome participants from Nepal, India, Malaysia, and anywhere in Asia. The event is open to student teams from the same university/institution (no mixed-institution teams allowed).
- Onsite teams will hack from a venue in Kathmandu (to be announced soon). Meals will be provided, but overnight stay is not included.
- Virtual teams will join via Zoom/Discord. Make sure your team has a strong internet connection and loads of creative energy!

Chris Pittenturf
VP of Analytics & Data StrategyChris Pittenturf is a seasoned leader with 20+ years of experience in technology, analytics, and business strategy. He has led high-performing teams and implemented data-driven solutions to enhance sales and marketing. At Palace Sports & Entertainment, he pioneered CRM and BI systems and oversaw major tech transitions, including the Detroit Pistons’ move to Little Caesars Arena and the Pistons Performance Center. He is currently VP of Analytics & Data Strategy at Arizona Cardinals.
Mukesh Vudhayagiri
Lead Data EngineerMukesh is data practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in sports retail and finance. He currently leads the Data Engineering team at Sports Apparel company, Fanatics.
